That is why it is important to have a 'backup' plan. Here are some ideas that I have to keep my kids 'entertained' this summer.
1. Chores: scrub the floor, clean the fridge, wash the trash cans....you know, all those yucky, icky chores that you don't want to do yourself. SO MUCH FUN for the kids---hee hee hee!
2. Read: No, not Twilight. Shakespeare, baby!
3. School work: Yep, I plan to scour the internet, library, bookstore, etc. for some books to help the kids keep those skills they learned through the school year.
4. Take a nap:: When all else fails, this one is pulled out. This is terrible torture to my children! BWAAAAAHAAA!
So, after a couple days of doing dreaded chores, schoolwork, and naps I usually stop hearing "Mom, I'm bored!"
Now, if I could just figure out how to stop the "Mom, I'm hungry!" nagging!!
