No Mom Talk Monday




Good Morning, Friends. I hope the weekend was a good one for you! I had a very relaxing weekend!

So, for this first "No Mom Talk" Monday, I thought I would post about something that is bothering me. My weight.

I was doing so good after Little Bit was born. Then, I don't know what happened. Oh, wait, YES I do.....it's called "I have no self control".

Unfortunately for me, that means that I have gained a bit of weight. It's time to be disciplined.

After reading countless magazines, websites, books, etc. on 'the right way' to lose weight, I have decided that I am going to implement these following suggestions:

From Dr. Oz's website:

1. Walk for 30 minutes Daily
2. 3 Days of 'stamina' training (for me, I am going to do the Couch to 5k Program
3. 2 Days of weight training based on this book
4. Stretching (or yoga) Daily

For my eating plan, I am going to TRY using the suggestions of Jackie Warner
Breakfast: Protein
                  Grain
                  Fruit
Snack:       Protein Shake W/Fruit
Lunch:       Protein
                  Vegetable
Snack:       Vegetable
Dinner:      Protein
                  Grain
                  Vegetable

The great thing about this eating plan (NO DIET HERE) is that it is very similar to the diabetes eating plan that I used while pregnant with Little Bit.  Also, I plan on adding in a SMALL treat for myself on the days that I do good.  An example might be a small bite of chocolate.

So, there you go.....to hold myself accountable, I am posting this for the world to see.  I hope to check in every Monday to let you all know how I am doing!  Feel free to join me on this adventure!  It should be interesting!!

Oh, and btw, I hope to have Abs like this SOMEDAY (LOL):

Hey Angie! I blogged a "No Mom Talk Monday" too and mentioned my weight. I feel your pain! :) I have about 20 pounds to lose to get to my wedding weight goal! Hope you have a wonderful week..
