WFMW: Fall Cleaning

As the seasons change, I always feel an overwhelming need to do some sprucing up around the house. Anyone else?

So, with Fall here, I have been trying to add a few more things to each day to get the house clean. This works great for those who are having holiday get togethers.

Here is my suggestion:

1.  Walk through your house with a notebook and pen.  Start at the entry way.
2.  Try to put on your 'realtor' hat or visitor glasses.  Try seeing things as guests would see them or what a realtor would ask you to fix or spruce up if you were selling.  If you have gone through the house selling process before, you know exactly what I am talking about.
3.  Write down everything you can think of.  You may not get to all of it (or even half of it).  That's o.k.  Atleast you have one spot for all those tasks that you want to get done.
4.  Each morning, take this list and add one or two tasks to your daily list.
5.  Cross off the items as you complete them.  This one I really enjoy!

Before you know it, you will have a much better handle on those pesky tasks that you keep putting off, like cleaning baseboards or wiping down the front door.

I like your idea of putting on your realtor hat to see what should be changed in your home. I do this at school in my classroom and even go as far to get on my knees to see what works and what doesn't (so I am on preschool eye level).

I am enjoying my visit to your blog (it's my first time). I hope you can stop over to Free 2 Be Frugal sometime soon.
